External Editor Not Working With Photoshop CC2015.5.1

When I call the External Editor either by selecting the EE Button or Ctl E I get a message "Running The External Editor". Photoshop runs but the file is not passed to Photoshop. Current version of Photoshop is CC 2015.5.1

However it does work if I use another external editor like On1 Photo 10

I do not know what is causing the problem. The other image editors open the images.

I forgot to say that use Windows 10 64 bit.

I have the same Issue, Photoshop opens, but with no Image.

Same here.

I tried opening by the EE-function both .NEF and .JPG. I use Win 10 and good old CS5.
It willl work fine when opening the images in Lightroom 6.7. The Import-module will start with the image.
