Error on import Canon CR2 files

Postby bobshaw » Fri Jul 06, 2012 1:44 pm

I've had this error happen a couple of times on loading raw files into SNS-HDR... My machine is new, the memory is good.

Any ideas what is causing it?

I am running Win 7 x 64 with all the latest updates, the current version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable on my testing machine, a brand new Toshiba Satellite Pro, i7 core processor with 8 gigs of ram, and high end specs for the whole machine. I use this to test software programs and I'm running Photomatix Pro 4.2, Adobe HDR Pro, and a few other HDR apps with no issues. My computer is not the issue.

In addition to this error, if I try to drag and drop files into SNS-HDR I get the "Undefined Error" popup window so it definitely seems buggy at the moment.

And you have also install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SP1?

Could you please also try if you insert this Images -> "Size reduction" to 2
Some User have also some time ago a "undefined Error" but since the v1.4.13 i doesn't read about this Error message.

I can not confirm your statement the "buggy software" SNS-HDR works really stable, and we will find also a Solution for you.

If you can upload a CR2 Image, i will try it on my PC. I have also Win7 x64

At the moment I can't open files either by importing a 3 shot sequence nor can I drag and drop files, both give a popup window with the error message "Undefined Error" and I am unable to use the program. I have all the recommended updates and a stable system that is already running many different HDR apps without any issues, this app doesn't work for me, that's all I'm saying. Maybe there is a problem between the demo version vs. the full version but for me it definitely has problems (demo) and doesn't work.

When I first installed the demo it worked as far as opening files but would not work on drag and drop (Undefined Error) so I re-installed the Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SP1 (which I already had installed). Now I can't open files either way (drag and drop/import).

I'll try a clean install (Win 7 x64) and see if that works and let you know.

The error message indicates that the image file does not exist. What is the full path to the image file?
