Noise reduction

Is there any noise reduction in SNS 2.x? Automatically applied?
If yes, then does it function on only raw files or TIFF as well. Also, if yes, then I remember posts about a new noise reduction algorithm for future versions. I assume that we be what is used. Yes/No.
