That's funny. To return the HDR file back to LR the plugin calls:

SNSHDRProcess.lua#202: exportSession.catalog:addPhoto( destination )

addPhoto can have 2 more parameters which define the image to stack with, and stacking order. Both are missing here, and in fact these are the ones that I added (along with the GUI stuff).

Also, the following article from 2014 mentions that "A desirable option to stack the resulting option with the base images is not implemented":
https://tuxoche.com/2014/04/09/lightroom-plugin-sns-hdr/

From where did you get your DWIW version of the plugin? :-)

Karsten

Karsten I downloaded the plugin from https://github.com/michaelkoetter/snshdr_lightroom

First image shows the stacked file after SNS has done it's magic

Second is the plugin, there's a box that needs to be ticked for SNS to send the file back to Lightroom stacked

Thank you for the comprehensive explanation!

From this I conclude that probably we are using the same term ("stack") for different kind of things. I guess you refer to as reimporting the HDR and show it near the source files (which is basically due to LR sorting mechanism).

I was referring to the LR feature of "grouping in a stack", ie you can collapse and expand a series of grouped (or stacked) photos by clicking on the number icon in the upper-left corner of the photo's thumbnails.

You use the link from the email message with the license key, or run version 1.4.22 and click download.
