First of all, thanks for releasing this beta, it's fantastic to see what's coming!

The speed is awesome: with previous version, 6 Tiffs took 65 seconds to process, with 1.x same pictures only need 40 seconds! Fantastic!

Software is working fine, I'm trying to create new presets that create the same look as my old presets, but I cannot get exactly the same results. Is the final release going to support / migrate old presets?

Additionally, could you tell us how much does the new version rely on the GPU? Is it more important to have the best CPU (Intel I7 instead of I5) with a cheap graphic card, or would SNS-HDR benefit more of a powerful GPU and a not-so-high-end CPU?

Current config:
Intel I7-3770
16GB RAM DDR3 2133
MSI GTX650Ti Power Edition

Thank you very much and keep up the excellent work! :)

No, the old presets are not compatible with the new SNS version.

GPU is limited by memory bandwidth CPU<=>GPU, so better to have a faster processor.

I am very impressed by the speed and like the new right hand side of the interface. I am also very pleased with how the output looks when using the default setting. It is very close to my ideal for landscapes and there is little need to manipulate the sliders or alter curves

As already stated, radiance files cause an error; so do 32bit TIF files.

Many thanks for some striking improvements.

Martin

Thanks for your answers!

Is there anything specific you need us to test that could help you?

Sebastian, could you already have a look what might cause the errors that I observe?

Thanks and best regards,

Steffen, I already know where this error occurs, but I don't know why. I still analyze the source code.

Love the new tonemapping! The speed is great and the default parameter needs little or no tweaking for what I do.Also the absence of noise. Looking forward to the complete new program.Good job Sebastian!!
