i didn't try to use SNS with Linux yet.

I tried to run it with Wine (Wine is an emulator so that you can run windows programs on Linux) but doesn't start up. I could manage to install it under linux but nothing happens. I guess I have to debug it somehow. Another option could be to do this in a VM. However, how many processes will run on the machine and how slow will it get then? So far no luck. Perhaps it would be nice to check if this could be packaged for linux to.
