Why does SNS-HDR strip the EXIF datas ?

Postby JPS » Mon Mar 30, 2015 2:33 pm

I loaded some *.NEF (Nikon RAW) images and got very good results, but unfortunately when I loaded the HDR images in PTGui, to build my 360x180 (spherical) panorama, I noticed that the EXIF datas had been removed, so I had to reset them manually !

Is there a way for SNS-HDR to KEEP the EXIF datas ?

TIA,

:)

SNS should copy the EXIF data. You do not have EXIF data in all HDR images?

That's the problem, Sebastian: all the files I used, be it in RAW or converted in *.TIF, had the EXIF datas intacts !

I just loaded a set of 3 RAW (*.NEF) images in SNS-HDR and made an HDR file, then loaded the same 3 images, BUT CONVERTED in *.TIF, in SNS-HRD and created another HDR file !

Next I loaded the first HRD image (created from the RAW files) in PTGui and it didn't recognized the focal length:

Later I loaded the second HDR image (created from the converted *.TIF) in PTGui, and it accepted it without problem !

Strange, isn't it ?
