Hello from Japan

Erik Krause recommended this program on the PTgui mailing list for panorama photographers, so I am buying the "home" edition for my personal use. Tone-mapping techniques are quite important for 360-degree panoramas, as you inevitably end up taking photos both with and against the light, which means getting images with large dynamic ranges. I prefer to use pseudo-HDR techniques on single RAW files rather than deal with the problem of ghosts in multiple exposures, but I was interested to see that the author of this program is now working on de-ghosting. If he is as good at that as he is in easily generating natural-looking tone-mapped images, then I may be able to start using bracketed exposures more than I do now!
