Nvidia driver crash / windows 10 / sns 2.2

When tone mapping, SNS-HDR can crash the Nvidia GPU driver at roughly about 80-90% of the way through the tone mapping process. This then causes all other programs that use the GPU to likewise crash immediately or after a particular function is activated, e.g. Lightroom, Photoshop, Libreoffice. I've noticed this across many different Nvidia drivers for quite some months now -- probably since version 2 was first released. I'm running a GTX 1070 on an Intel 6700K and 64GB of RAM, currently using the latest drivers. The best solution I know of is to reboot, and start again.... which is obviously annoying. SNS-HDR is the only program that triggers this crash.
