I have problems with the latest version. It simply vanishes during tonemapping after a few seconds. The error is repeatable.
My system is Windows 10 64 bit.

The problem occurs only when I open images inside the SNS-HDR GUI. It does not happen when I use drag and drop to open images.
Maybe it is not a bug in SNS-HDR but a Windows Defender problem. Windows Defender blocked the installation of SNS-HDR with a message 'unknown author' but I could force the installation. Is it possible that the 'suspicious' application is stopped by Windows Defender when it opens and processes 'foreign files' ?

The error occurs in the nvwgf2umx.dll. This module is a part of the NVIDIA driver.
Do you have the latest graphics driver installed?

I saw that the dll is involved and tried the latest NVIDIA driver without success. When I got problems with the latest Affinity Photo beta (it simply vanished after opening an image similar like SNS-HDR but without an error report in Ereignisanzeige) I rolled back my system to a point before the driver installation.

NVIDIA have game ready and studio drivers. I tried the latest version of both without solving the problem.
It is very strange: I can open images with drag and drop into SNS-HDR or using the 'open with' dialog in Windows Explorer or other applications like Faststone Viewer . When an image is already opened in SNS-HDR it is possible to open another image using 'Neues Bild' or 'CNTRL+N'. But when I start SNS-HDR and try to open a first image using 'Neues Bild' or 'CNTRL+N' SNS-HDR aborts (simply vanishes).

The problem is still present in version 2.7.1.

I have the same issue. It aborts in the first few percent of tone mapping and crashes/disappears. After about twenty tries I can finally get it working - maybe. I have the newest 2.71 and an Nvidia 2070 with updated drivers. I hope this can be fixable, as I use this software daily (or used to) and no other HDR software can compare to it's clean and natural output.

I've analyzed it, but I still don't see why you have this problem. I will add the ability to disable GPU computing in the next version. Maybe it will change something.

Updating Windows 10 to the functional Windows 10 version 2004 seemed to solve the problem.
I had several successful trials with jpg and tif images but now SNS-HDR is aborting again when I try to load an image.
Thanks, Dieter

I installed once more the latest NVIDIA game ready driver. SNS-HDR 2.7.1 works now when I start it with administrator rights.
Maybe that Windows Defender doesn't allow SNS-HDR (unknown author!) to use GPU when I start it without administrator rights.
