Navajo Gift Shop, Monument Valley Tribal Park, UT USA
Posted: Wed May 27, 2015 8:22 pmThis view of the "Monument Valley" taken from inside the gift shop of the 'The View Hotel' at Monument Valley Tribal Park with a hand-held Fujiflim X100T camera had several challenges:
...a fixed lens so camera position was critical [made difficult by jostling/roaming shoppers]
...indoor and outdoor mixed lighting [recorded camera white balance was changed to be a blend of indoor/outdoor color temperatures]
...people roaming through the scene [a single exposure biased for the outdoor visual elements was taken and virtually converted to 4 exposures (-1.5ev, 0ev, +1.5ev, and +3ev) using Fuji's 'Raw File Converter EX 2.0' to resolve ghosting issues]
...window reflections [a circular polarizing filter was used]
The 4 virtual exposures were image blended/tone-mapped with 'SNS-HDR Pro 1.x.1' using a Night preset and final tones/colors/crop/re-size/sharpening with an external editor... ...the result:
