SNS-HDR v1.x

Hi,

I was able to compile a version of the SNS for testing the new tone mapping parameters. This version is not yet fully functional, but I hope that it will be stable. This version uses GPU to compute, but now only in the tone mapping process. Requires Windows Vista or later.
[Setup file 32/64-bits]

Please write what you think about the new parameters.

Hello Sebastian,

I have your 1.4.22 Pro version installed. Is it possible to install this new beta together with current Pro version without conflicts?

This version will be installed in a separate directory.

3 RAW files from 5D Mark II combined with Alignment and Deghosting/Noise Reduction turned on.

From the time I click "OK" until tonemapped image opens:

Version 1.4.22 - 2 minutes 13 seconds
Version 1.X - 1 minute 22 seconds

Intel i7-860, H57 chipset
16Gb DDR3
Radeon HD 5770
Samsung 256Gb SSD

That's some great news! I hope I will have some time to test it during the week-end!

Fantastic! Can you tell us which GPUs are supported?

Thank you very much for your hard work!!

Thank you Sebastian for the test-software!
Way more faster!
I have some questions:
- Will there be a possibility to reduce chromatic aberrations?
- I miss the sharpen slider
- Color picker for white balance missing?

The highlights-midtone-schadows sliders are wonderful...even if more painful to achieve good results
I have also seen that the "advanced" sliders have some impact on the "basic sliders"
The mapping results are really better than the actual version...Good Man!

Regards

Phil

One thing I forgot:
I would put the slider "Light midtone contrast" slider in the "basic" part
I think that midtone and contrast have to be together like on the old software

Thank you,
well done!

It works fine and real fast with pentax K34 PEF files (6000*4016 Pixel).
I think the speed as increased a least by a factor of 2
I'm using windows 7 64 Bit, 16 GB RAM, i7 860, AMD Radeon HD5570 (Core 650/ Memory 800 Mhz).

But I'm missing some of the presets.
Export an Import from the Home Version doesn't work.
Any possibility to get them transferred?

Thanks a lot :D :D :D

First things first. The new program appears to be faster. 5 RAW files aligned, de-ghosted and noise reduction took 1 minute to be ready for tone-mapping. With the older version the same five files took 1 minute 20 seconds. Similar sets of RAW files took similar times.

I processed using default settings the same five files in both the old and new versions. First impressions newer version handles shadows better but I need to do some more work on that.

I like the new look interface and the ability to work with the Luminance looks interesting but needs more investigation
