Ghosting problem !

Postby JPS » Mon May 01, 2017 4:33 pm

Hi !

I just downloaded the V. 2.2 and tried an old (3 images HDR) spherical panorama, but I found out that the software had not cleaned the ghosts !

I uploaded the 3 images (RAW converted to JPG and reduced) that have ghosts, plus the resulting HDR file, in a *.ZIP file, that you can download from https://we.tl/Umdrr8VA1Z !

...of course, I had validated the options prior to start !

Can you have a look and provide a solution, please ?

Thank you in advance for any help...

Not sure if you foudn the issue or not. Tried to look at the files and they are gone. If I had to guess, it's because you were only using 3 files. Removing ghosting often requires a lot of files to pull information from for error checking. The software can't tell by itself which pixels are the ghosts and which are suppose to be there.

Hi ! Thanks for responding... I find very strange that one needs more than 3 images for the "anti-ghosts" to work... normally there shouldn't be any problem, even with only 2 files: the software chose one of the two, or let the user do it manually ! Although I prefer the rendering of SNS-HDR, I also have Photomatix Pro, and I don't have problems to fix the ghosts !

Ohhh well... I reckon SNS-HDR is still "growing" and getting better... We'll just have to wait for Sebastian to find a cure...

Regards,
J-P.
